After surgery & rehabilitation

Structured rehabilitation after surgery, injuries or a long period of immobility — step by step back to independence.

Who is it for?

The way back starts with a plan

After surgery, rehabilitation plays a part in how good the outcome will be. We follow your surgeon’s instructions closely and build up load in a structured way — from your first movements back to everyday life, work and sport.

How we work

Depending on your situation, we combine post-operative rehabilitation, manual lymphatic drainage for swelling and neurological physiotherapy (PNF) for gait, balance and motor control. At a later stage, active training options can support the transition to independence; for symptoms that persist after rehabilitation, an osteopathic approach may be useful.

If you have a fever, a sudden increase in swelling, severe pain or problems with your wound, please contact your treating doctor first. If you develop painful swelling in one leg or calf, please contact your doctor straight away; if you experience sudden shortness of breath or chest pain, call 112 immediately.

Reimbursement: Physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage on medical prescription are eligible for CNS reimbursement — see the reimbursement page. All details & insurer links →
