The Therakura Method

Analysis. Treatment. Support. — our approach from the initial analysis to long-term independence.

The three phases

Analysis

Medical history, functional examination, movement analysis — and an eye for warning signs that need to be assessed by a doctor. Your treatment plan is built from the overall picture.

Treatment

Physiotherapy, osteopathy, manual techniques, active therapy, training and education.

Support

Home exercises, progress monitoring, adjustment, prevention — long-term self-reliance.

Why understanding the cause matters

The body is an interconnected system. Symptoms do not always arise where they are felt: a headache can originate in the jaw, a knee problem in the hip. That is why we look beyond the painful area — we want to understand why symptoms develop, so that we can address them in a targeted way.

Step 1 — Analysis

It all begins with listening: a detailed case history, followed by a functional examination and movement analysis. We look for connections and recognise warning signs that need to be assessed by a doctor first. From the overall picture this analysis provides, we derive your individual treatment plan.

Step 2 — Treatment

Physiotherapy, osteopathy, manual techniques, active therapy, targeted training and education — tailored to the findings from your assessment, not to a fixed routine. At every stage, you understand what we are doing and why.

Step 3 — Support

Lasting improvement happens between appointments: home exercises, progress reviews, adjustments to your plan and prevention. Our goal is your long-term self-management — so that you can manage everyday life without us.

Who is this approach for?

For people living with pain, athletes, pregnant women and women after childbirth, people with desk-based jobs, those with chronic or complex symptoms — and for anyone who has “already tried a lot”.

Your questions before the first appointment

What happens at the first appointment?

We start with a conversation: we listen, ask questions and build a picture — your symptoms, your history, your goals. This is followed by a functional examination. Where it makes sense, we begin treatment in the same session. You leave with an honest assessment and a clear plan.

How long does an appointment last?

That depends on the service: for osteopathy, we always reserve a full hour. Physiotherapy appointments depend on the prescription and findings. You can see the exact times when booking online and on the individual service pages.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

If available: your medical prescription, relevant reports or images (e.g. MRI, X-ray) and your social security card. Also wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in — for sports-related concerns, feel free to bring your trainers as well.

When should I see a doctor first?

If you have severe or worsening pain, numbness, signs of paralysis, fever associated with your symptoms, or unexplained new symptoms, you should seek medical assessment first. If we notice warning signs like these during our assessment, we will tell you openly. In an emergency, please call 112 immediately.

Will I get exercises to do at home?

Yes — support between appointments is an integral part of our method. You receive home exercises that fit your findings and your everyday life, clearly explained and adjusted as you progress. The aim is your long-term independence.
