When stress becomes physical
Persistent stress often shows up in the body first: a tense neck, a clenched jaw, shallow breathing, restless sleep. These patterns reinforce each other — and they can also be influenced physically.
Our approaches
- Osteopathy: We look at stress-related tension patterns — for example in the neck, jaw, chest and diaphragm — and treat where we find a starting point.
- Breath coaching: Structured breathing techniques for everyday life — to help regulate tension and to support recovery.
- Pilates training: Mat Pilates in Contern — as an active element for body awareness and resilience.
Good to know
Bodywork can ease stress symptoms, but it does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic treatment. If you experience persistent exhaustion, low mood or severe psychological strain, you should first seek assessment from a doctor or psychotherapist — we’ll discuss this with you openly, and bodywork can also run alongside it.
Reimbursement: Osteopathy and breath coaching are self-pay services; some supplementary health insurance policies contribute — see the reimbursement page. All details & insurer links →
